How to get to Edinburgh and the EICC

The EICC is within 6 miles of Edinburgh International Airport. It is served by major airlines that provide direct services from numerous international destinations. A number of these routes are serviced by low cost airlines.
In addition to this there are also over 90 daily flights to and from London's airports plus regular services from other UK regions.
Direct transatlantic flights fly into Glasgow International Airport, which is an hour's drive from Edinburgh. A regular rail service runs every 15 minutes from Glasgow Queen Street Railway Station to Edinburgh Haymarket.
Airport to City Centre
TAXIS
There is an excellent taxi service direct from the airport to the city. Journey time is around 25 minutes depending on traffic flow and time of day.
BUS / COACH
Edinburgh International Airport is well served by public transport into the city centre. Regular bus services start at 04.20, running generally every 10 minutes until 23.45. Delegates are advised to alight at Haymarket Railway Station and to follow signs for EICC (5 minute walk).
EDINBURGH SHUTTLE

A fleet of 7 seat executive mini-coaches run a frequent daily service and pick up and drop off at any address within a zone – hotel, conference venue, business or home address. Generous luggage space and excellent value fares – only £8.00 for an individual with reduced rates for passengers travelling together to the same destination. ”Sharing the Shuttle” helps support the EICC’s commitment to sustainability and green policies. Online booking at www.edinburghshuttle.com or call 0845 500 5000.
BY RAIL
Edinburgh has two railway stations - Waverley and Haymarket. Waverley is the main station with direct services across the country and locally. Haymarket boasts a similar number of direct services however please note that not all trains stop here. Haymarket is the most convenient railway station for the EICC.
There are 16 direct trains daily from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley, taking approximately four hours. The Caledonian Sleeper Service runs an overnight train six nights a week from London Euston to Edinburgh Waverley. There are regular direct train services to other UK towns and cities from both Waverley and Haymarket. Further information and bookings are available at www.thetrainline.com.
Please note, when possible, delegates should alight at Haymarket.
From Haymarket
Please follow directional signage for the EICC (5 minute walk).

On foot, from Waverley take the exit for Princes Street and turn left onto Princes Street. Walk west towards the Caledonian Hilton Hotel with the castle on your left for approximately half a mile. From there follow the directional signage for the EICC.
